Single Review: All in Time by Olivia Reid

For those who need a soothing indie-folk and pop gem track, “All in Time” by Singer-songwriter and producer, Olivia Reid offers just that and more. “All in Time” gives listeners a sense of a calm parallel to the gentle rhythm of the song’s beat. From its melodic simplicity to the earthy atmosphere, Reid ties in beautiful vocal harmonies with a soft tone that perfectly complements the indie-folk tune. They’re an artist you’ll want to keep on your playlist rotation, with her storytelling lyrics and production style she seamlessly blends indie acoustics with words that convey the deepest and most intimate parts of an individual's journey. 

I really loved how Reid’s airy vocals meshed with the indie-folk beats– It gave the song that spark, despite the more emotional lyrics. The lyrics hold space for those who need a reminder that it’s perfectly fine to move a little slower or to take moments away from others to provide clarity and stillness. Sometimes all it takes is a gentle reminder to grab a second to yourself, and that’s where “All in Time” comes in handy.  

As far as production goes, one can appreciate the layered instruments and vocals, Reid’s soft and sultry voice fuses all of it together. I also appreciated the faint build-up from the verses to the chorus, with all the different loops to the track “All in Time” which is a fortifying indie folk tune worth listening to.
